This article introduces the concepts of 2-dimensional bar code, 2-dimensional bar code for mobile phone and China Mobile's 2-dimensional bar code for mobile phone at first, then in the perspective of industry chain, discusses the service of China Mobile's mobile phone 2-dimensional bar code systematically with PEST analysis; the third part makes specific marketing analysis on several areas such as the classification of the service of China Mobile's mobile phone 2-dimensional bar code, current situation of application, standard of choosing code formats,and presents the more mature commercial mode at present along with the choosing of code formats; the fourth part gives a brief and exploratory description on market expectations of future service of China Mobile's mobile phone 2-dimensional bar code from the point of view of its limitations and developing directions combining the concept of 3G in Chinese communication market.China Mobile's mobile phone 2-dimensional bar code will become an integrated channel of all the mobile phone value-added services, be a sign of a new era of China Mobile's value-added services subsequently, and it will stimulate the fusion of communication, media, Internet and traditional industry effectively and bring the areas including mobile interconnection and wireless value-added services into a blue sea.
