The Study On Industry Promotion Of Taiwan-funded Enterprises In Dongguan City

International industrial gradient transfer under economic globalization has made Dongguan become the first areas to accept industrial transfer from Taiwan since the reform and open policy was adopted in our country. Plenty of investment from Taiwanese businessmen has enriched the capital origin of Dongguan and made the scale of Dongguan's extraneous economy quickly expand in over 20 years. As a result, Dongguan has become one of the regions whose rates of economy growth are the fastest in our country. However, since the entry of the new century, as the macroscopic economic environment in Dongguan and the microscopic main body of Taiwanese businessmen have changed together with the great adjustments of industrial structure both in the whole nation and Guangdong province, a great number of Taiwanese businessmen in Dongguan can hardly run their business, which has become a great hidden danger for the sustainable development of Dongguan economy.Taking Taiwan-funded enterprises in Dongguan as the study object, this paper discusses how Taiwan-funded enterprises in Dongguan find a way that conforms to the request of our nation's economy development and finally realize industry promotion in the changing economic environment. Firstly, this paper starts from concepts and basic theories by introducing relevant theories of industry promotion, FDI position theory, and local innovation theory of industry agglomeration region and uses these theories to briefly analyze the industry promotion problems of Taiwan-funded enterprises in Dongguan. Secondly, this paper analyzes the industry structure and position distributing of Taiwanese businessmen's investing Dongguan and compares the mode of Taiwanese businessmen's investing Dongguan to the way of Kunshan's attracting Taiwan-funded. Thirdly, from the view of macroscopic economic environment in Dongguan, this paper analyzes the possible problems which influence sustainable management of Taiwan-funded enterprises and hereby analyzes the urgency and necessity for Taiwan-funded enterprises in Dongguan to process industry promotion. Thereafter, this paper discusses ways of industry promotion for Taiwan-funded enterprises in Dongguan. Considering the two promotion paths of government dominant type and market dominant type, this paper suggests the role that the government should play and the measures that enterprises can benefit from. Finally, this paper briefly introduces ways of industry promotion in processing trade regions like Dongguan.
