This paper is entitled as《Research on the modes of corporate cultural integration in the merger and acquisition of"privatization of state-owned enterprises"》, emphasized on the problem that enterprises how to choose suitable cultural integration modes during the M&A (merger & acquisition) of"privatization of state-owned enterprises".M&A, as one of the ways to integrate resource effectively, expand the enterprises' scope, and help the enterprises to grow rapidly, has been favored by more and more enterprises. But M&A is not always successful; one of the reasons is the failure in cultural integration. In our country's privatization of state-owned enterprises, the risk of the M&A failure by lack of cultural integration also exists. To solve this problem, this paper analyses the culture of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises detailedly, and then make comparison about them to reveal the advantage and disadvantage of each other. Through the analysis above, we bring forward the difficulties and risks due to the corporate culture difference from the aspect of culture rigidity and culture potential energy. The focus of this paper is putting forward how to choose the culture integration modes in different situation during the M&A of "privatization of state-owned enterprises". That is educed by the analysis of three points: culture difference and rigidity, the contrast of culture intensity, and the realization of the M&A strategy and original culture. Subsequently, we list a successful example and a failure example of cultural integration about the M&A of "privatization of state-owned enterprises", in order to confirm the selection of different cultural integration modes. We should notice that there is no fixed pattern in the cultural integration. Enterprises must make appropriate choices of cultural integration modes according to culture difference, rigidity and the purpose of M&A, or combine different modes together if necessary.About the topic, it's innovative that this paper put the main body of cultural integration on the M&A of"privatization of state-owned enterprises". Besides, during the comparison about the culture of state-owned enterprises and private enterprises, this paper introduces the definition of culture potential energy. That will change people's thinking inertia that culture difference must arose culture conflict, then it makes people recognize culture conflict will be solved easily through the exertion of subjective initiative during the cultural integration.
