An Economic Analysis Of Geography Environment In Sustainable Urban Development

Urban geography environment is an important condition of sustainable urban. With the progress of urbanization and deeply understanding impact on urban environmental of urban activities ,how to achieve urban development and the harmonious urban environment has become the important issues for a city of sustainable development. Therefore, the study of the positive and negative impacts of urban geography environment on urban sustainable development, for the full play of the various functions of city and the city's overall sustainable development, is of great realistic significance.Based on the study of literature at home and abroad, By means of the combination approach on theory and practice, general research and case studies with relevant to environmental economics, ecological economics theory, to analyze the sustainable development of urban geography as main line, urban development to study the physical environment and the impact of demand. First , on the basic analysis of urban geography of the structure, function and properties of public goods ,using economics of public goods and externality theory, further analyzing the characteristics of geography environment as public goods and of the demand and supply . Then Dalian City taken as an example, using of the ecological footprint theory and research methods to analyze Dalian City's ecological footprint and ecological capacity, The results is showed that Dalian City in 2004 per capita ecological footprint is nearly 4 times of the ecological carrying capacity, and predicts the Dalian City sustainable development in 2020. After introducing environmental classification and valuation methods of using congingent valuation method (CVM), Dalian city environment economic value is estimated by further analysis. Finally, on the basis of the above study, the proposal of value for the environmental assessment is given with some reference value.
