The Research Of Urban System Configuration And Regional Pulling Effect Of Port Urban System In The Bohai Rim

In the morden world, globalization of world economy and integration of region economy are two trends in current economic development. With China entering WTO, the effect of port and port urban system become more and more important as the connection between regional economies and world economy.Take the Bohai rim for example. First, expatiate on related basic theory and Progress in Research. Second, this article chooses 17 port city around the Bohai rim as research objects. Follow the research idea and method of urban geography, I study and analysis the urban system from 4 facets which are rank of urban system, city size, city function and city spatial structure. For specific aspect, that is, discussing the rank of urban system by using centricity strength, discussing the cities'layout of scale by using Rand-Size Rule, discussing the export-orientated level of the economic development by using the volume of trade for external trade, the foreign direct investment and the dependence on external trade, and discussing the spatial structure by using the Fractal Theory.After the studies above, this article then makes some further analysis which contains the spatial interaction between cities and between city and region, the pulling effect of the port toward the city, the pulling effect of the port city toward the region, and then get the pulling effect of port urban system of Bohai rim toward the regional development. that is,①The substantial Multiplier Effect of harbor economy.②The 3-pole pattern and 3-axis pomotion.③The port urban system is in development.
