Manufacturing industry has close relationship with the national economy and the people's livelihood, plays a very important role in national economy, and equipment manufacturing industry is the core of manufacturing industry in our country. Now, equipment manufacturing industry in our country has severely lagged behind developed countries and some rising developing countries and regions, thus, it is imperative to push forward the adjustment and reconstruction of our equipment manufacturing industry across-the-aboard. According to the study of manufacturing industry's development home and abroad, many countries have taken the way that making use of advanced scientific technology to improve manufacturing industry as a key strategy of manufacturing industry's development. In the light of the experiences of developed countries, our country has realized the imminence and importance of using high-tech industry to promote the development of traditional equipment manufacturing industry. Combining with practice, this paper goes on a deep and comparatively comprehensive study from theory and demonstration research about the promotion function of high-tech industry to traditional equipment manufacturing industry.First, this paper sums up the study of manufacturing and high-tech industry, introduces the dissipative structure theory and several evaluation methods. Second, this paper discusses the essential relations between traditional equipment manufacturing industry and high-tech industry, analyses the promotion function of high-tech industry in the process of forming traditional equipment manufacturing industry's dissipative structure with dissipative structure theory, puts forward some principles for using high-tech industry to develop traditional equipment manufacturing industry, such as being open, considering comprehensively, standing out the emphasis, encouraging resources flowing, progressing coordinately. Then, on the basis of the relation analysis, this paper concludes key factors which influence the promotion function of high-tech industry to traditional equipment manufacturing industry, and it designs comprehensive index system evaluating the promotion function, the index system is three levels, and consists of twelve indicators. According to the index system, this paper compares some general evaluation methods, finally chooses analytical hierarchy process and grey relational evaluation. This paper chooses three traditional equipment manufacturing industries for demonstration research, and anatomizes the results of demonstration research. The demonstration research validates that the evaluation model is feasible, reifies the promotion function of high-tech industry to traditional equipment manufacturing industry. At last, under the direction of dissipative structure theory, this paper puts forward some advice for using high-tech industry to promote the development of traditional equipment manufacturing industry based on theory and demonstration research.This paper is of important theoretical and practical significances for government to establish relative policies and promote the adjustment and upgrade of traditional equipment manufacturing industry.
