With the success of Kunming International Horticultural Fair,the convention and exhibition tourism is in its beginning in China.After the success of applying for 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 Shanghai World Fair, and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, the exhibition market is in a steady and rapid development period in China.In order to fully utilize and develop leisure and tourism resources in China, development the tourism products which the participants demand for, promote the development of convention and exhibition industry and relevant industries, the research on the development of convention and exhibition tourism product is a theoretical and practical significance.From the narrow perspective of the tourism, this paper is taking the relationship between the travel and tourism as a focal point, then studies in depth and defines the tourism product, taps the theory of exhibition tourism products, which is as a basis for analysis of the development of exhibition tourism product.Then, this paper combines the theory of tourism products and raises the basic tenets of the development of the exhibition tourism product, Finally, according to the development of tourism product of GTF, the paper presents an improved response.This paper defines the exhibition tourism,which provides tourism-related services for the conference and exhibition,and then reaps the economic benefits; exhibition tourism products accompany with the the development and strengthening of exhibition industry, which are dedicated to providing tourism products for participants. Currently,the development of exhibition tourism product is facing many obstacles,such as the imperfection of management system, the lack of interaction between exhibition industry and tourism industry,information asymmetry of tourism and lack of cooperation.Therefore, the development of exhibition tourism product must be under the guidance of the government, it is necessary to straighten out the connections between tourism industry and exhibition industry,then,information interaction and tourism product innovation are also needed.Because the tourism product exhibition is an aesthetic pleasing product,which has strong personaliy and the experience degree of leisure is high,as result, we must develop exhibition tourism product abided by the pinciple of leisure contents, rational consumption and short time, convenient line and professional services; combines the leisure and tourism resources around the place where the exhibition is held, enhances its content in entertainment, culture, cuisine as well as the diversity; and on the basis of the tourism information symmetry between the demand and supply, according to the convention and its activities tourists demand, design and innovate the tourism products.GTF is the largest import and export transactions event and has the longest history in China,its tourism product development situation to a certain extent reflects the development and history standards of convention and exhibition tourism product in China and its problems are universal. In the development process of GTF tourism products, the governmen should be fully clear the GTF tourism information channel and actively promote the spontaneous regulatory role of the tourism market mechanism;tourism enterprises should develop the tourism product in accordance with its own characteristics and needs of participants,and pay special attention to the Guangzhou Open Leisure Business Area,improve and innovate the cultural connotation of Pearl River Tour and the convenience of the tourism product line.
