Convention & Exhibition Industry is developing for over one hundred years in the world, and has formed the mature system and marketplace in Europe and America. But in China, Convention & Exhibition Industry is still a sunrise industry in its childhood.Public Relations is able to help Convention & Exhibition companies to build up good relationships between companies and the public, also get understanding, support and trust from the public through full two-way communications. By means of Public Relations, Convention & Exhibition companies can establish their perfect images and reputations and reach their goals thereby.The paper has set up the research system of public relations in convention & exhibition industry, which is separated into seven chapters. Chapter One is introduction. It is part I of main body in the paper from Chapter Two to Chapter Four, three key sectors included: Defining communication object, forming communication network and arousing public responses. In Chapter Two, it defines the objects of PR communication and introduces common PR activities in Convention & Exhibition Industry. In chapter Three, it analyzes information searching network and information spreading network and discusses customer relationships management in PR communication network. In Chapter Four, the author expounds public responses aroused by PR communication of industry effect, economy effect and image effect in all.Making a general observation of the whole world, brand-orientation is the future development trend. Chapter Five is Part II of paper main body, which is surrounding branded convention & exhibition. The part has analyzed essential features and development tactics of branded convention & exhibition and summed up with case of"2010 Shanghai Expo"in Chapter Six. Finally, Chapter Seven is the conclusion of the paper.As the art of "uniting inner, developing outside", PR has established many great social organization images in a lot of industries.
