Study On Knowledge Management To Small And Medium Sized Chemical Enterprises

The 21st century is considered as the era of knowledge economy, in which knowledge is the major producing ingredient and always taken as vital resources of enterprise. The capability of obtaining, creating, transmitting and using knowledge would be the key point to existence and development of enterprises, which require enterprises to take knowledge management. With China joining WTO, small and medium sized chemical enterprises will face more fierce competition. To adapt to crucial outer environment and demands of the era of knowledge economy, the introduction of knowledge management is an indispensable means of existence of small and medium sized chemical enterprises.With an introduction to the research of knowledge management at home and abroad at first, this paper analyzes the classification of knowledge; connotation and the process of knowledge management, and the transferring mode and creation process of knowledge, basing on which a new knowledge management model is born. This model contains three modules: target system, knowledge excavation subsystem and supporting subsystem to knowledge management. The process of knowledge excavation means programming, organizing, sharing, creating, identifying and evaluating knowledge continuously. Supporting system contains system management, company culture, support from leader and information technique. System management is the base of realization of knowledge management; Company culture is fine atmosphere for knowledge management and a kind of soft power; Recognition and leading function from leaders are keys to success; Computer hardware, such as Internet and local area network, is physical base of implementation. Based on knowledge management model, this paper gives a detailed presentation of knowledge management application in Qingdao AJ Company and at last shows us the key factor of knowledge management application in chemical enterprises with medium and small sizes, guiding in process and evaluation index system. It is hoped that this paper can provide reference for small and medium sized chemical enterprises which are ready to apply knowledge management.
