Study On The Relationship Between Knowledge Management Capability And The Growth Of Small And Medium-sized Enterprises

Since the concept of “knowledge based economy” was put forward by theorganization of the United Nations for economic cooperation and development in twentiethCentury90, the knowledge has become the key factor in social and economy developmentand the growth of companies, and researches of knowledge resources to realize the value ofa business or organization of economy on knowledge management, made a lot oftheoretical results and practical experience. In the knowledge-based economy, whether thecompany owns the capability to obtain, transfer and use knowledge has become the factorto exist. For the development of the firm, how to manage knowledge effectively, becomethe focus of enterprise management research. Therefore, many enterprises andorganizations take active measures to strengthen the management of knowledge andimprove the ability of knowledge management. This article from the perspective of thegrowth of small and medium-sized enterprises focuses on the effect of the relationshipbetween the knowledge management capability and the enterprise growths, whichexplicates knowledge management action on the growth of enterprises and providestheoretical guidance for the development of enterprise knowledge management. Researchon the relationship between knowledge management ability and growth of SMEs on thebasis of this, puts forward a knowledge management ability and the enterprise growththeory model of the relationship, and puts forward the eight hypothesis while the design ofthe empirical research program.This paper has the systematic review of relevant literature about the growth ofknowledge management capability as well as small and medium-sized enterprises from thestudy of a lot of theoretical results; summarizes the relationships between knowledgemanagement capability and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises; extracts evaluation index of knowledge’s obtain, acquisition, conversion and application ability andthe allocation of resources and financial; establishes the knowledge management abilityand small and medium-sized enterprises growing scale, has been improved quantityevaluation index by senior management experts and institutions in visits; takes the itemanalysis, factor analysis, reliability and validity test; forms the established evaluation indexof knowledge management competence scale of four first grade indexes and two levelindicators of SMEs growth evaluation index scale. Finally, according to empirical resultsand the relationship between knowledge management capability and the growth of smalland medium-sized enterprises, this paper makes some suggestions about the small andmedium-sized enterprises improving enterprise resource allocation and financial operationthrough the promotion of knowledge management capability.
