Study On Land Sustainable Utilization In Urban Fringe

As one of the major natural resources, land resources are the foundation of production activities and indispensable to Human existence. The land sustainable utilization is the key component of and the fundamental guarantee for the sustainable development stratagem of the whole society, as well as the foundation for achieving the sustainable development. With the unceasing development of social economy, the land development and utilization activities in urban fringe get much brisker. Thus, it is significant to strengthen the research on the land sustainable development of urban fringe to serve the purpose of alleviating the urban stresses, bettering the regional structure of city, improving the benefits in land development and utilization, optimizing the functional layout, and effecting a sound development for city and urban fringe.The thesis brings a new recognition and boundary of it, which gives the whole background of theories and methods of the paper. Then, based on extensive and all-round research documents of urban and rural land, the indicator system of land utilization sustainable development in urban fringe is provided applying the principles of science, integrity, specialty, stabilization and dynamics. Then, selecting Chengdu as study's case, the paper gets scores of each index by the Analytic Hierarchy Process and calculates Re, En, Ec and Sc of land in urban fringe of Chengdu from 1998～2003, by add-weigh model, and designs 3 indexes, which are Level Index (LI), Sustainable Index (SI),coordination Index (CI), to set up a comprehensive evaluation mode on fringe urban sustainable development. On the basis of resources, environmental, economic and social development data from 1998 to 2003 of fringe urban of Chengdu, the paper draws the development momentum of the city.Managing the city has already become the governments' important subject, in this system engineering of managing the city, managing fringe urban land is focal point and key of it. This text is on the basis of dealing in the relevant theory of managing urban land. Combine the actual conditions of dealing in the land in Chengdu city, the system has explained that deals in the impact on urban economy of managing urban land and influence degree. At the same time, integrating urban and rural and establishing economy of urban area is an important path to push sustainable development of urban economy.Land utilization sustainable in urban fringe is an important component of sustainable development. It is proposed that fringe urban land should be managed according to sustainable and integrated development principle, because of having many problems. Considering all these, this essay concludes that fringe urban land readjust the land relations and land utilization organization through implementing a series of effectual measures to elevate the sustainable utilization level of lands in urban fringe of city, and push forward the sustainable development in urban economy with regards to the environment and limited resources of the whole city.
