Study On Growth Elements Composing Of High-tech SMEs

Enterprise is the basic unit of market economy, enterprise growth is basis of economic stability and sustainable development. High-tech SMEs which have the characteristic of high technology, high risk, high yields surged a new round of regional economic development and became a hot topic in the study of management theory and practice. As present, high-tech SMEs in our country have developed only for a short period , the technology accumulation is relative weak and have not mature theory system. Investigating the relationship between elements and performances of high-tech SMEs can help enterprises to accumulate the necessary growth elements, promote the rapid growth enterprises. It is a great theoretical and practical significance of the research topic.This article define the concepts and features of high-tech SMEs based on the theoretical results which has been summed up. The research use the method of combining qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, use questionnaires and interviews as the main means, choose high-tech SMEs in Dalian city as a subject of investigation and use statistical analysis methods which include descriptive statistics, factor analysis and correlation analysis to the collection of large amounts of data.Through the related research between growth elements and growth enterprises of high-tech SMEs, and combining the characteristics of high-thce SMEs, this article get the conclusion of high-tech SMEs in the process of growing up have significant relationship between 19 elements and enterprise performance. Through the further analysis to the growth elements, this article build a four-dimensionality model which include technological innovation capacity, outreach capacity, internal management capacity, adapting to the external capacity to describe enterprise growth elements and explain the model and make recommendations to hith-tech SMEs. This article except to provide the reference to business managers and policy makers.
