Research On Process Simulation And Improvement Of M&S Manufacture Enterprise

Enterprise has gained more and strengthened market competence from successful BPR (Business Process Reengineering). But carrying out BPR is a high-cost and high-risk complex systematic engineering for many enterprises. People have done research and practice on BPR for more than ten years. At present they take cognizance that a fact results in unsuccessful BPR, which is a lack of quantitative analysis of process and effective simulation tool. The paper have brought forward GPSS World modeling and simulation technology on the basis of the research on business process improvement theory and modeling tools. It also carries through modeling simulation optimization combined with demonstration research and provides a new idea and method for business process improvement in future.The whole paper is composed of four parts:The first part is the theory foundation of the whole paper. The meaning of business process and business process improvement is analyzed amply in this part. An idea is received by the analysis of actual process improvement methods, which is modeling and simulation is the most effective method of carrying through business process improvement.The process of middle and small manufacture enterprise in China is analyzed in the second part. At first the classified standard and development status of M&S manufacture enterprise are expounded, then typical manufacture enterprise process is studied from purchasing material, manufacture process, distribution of finished product to assistant process activity. On the basis of it, some ubiquitous problems in enterprise process and the sense of process improvement are analyzed at the end of this part. A comprehensive expression of process modeling and simulation tools is received in the third part. At first actual modeling simulation tools in business process improvement are introduced, which emphasize particularly on qualitative analysis. A new computer simulation language GPSS World is put forward on the basis of them. GPSS World provides current blocks and quantitative statistical analysis in order to describe business process.The last part is on demonstration research. A specific manufacture enterprise process is modeled, simulated and optimized according to the statistical output in this part. That GPSS World is feasible and effective applying business process improvement is validated. Some deficiencies of the study and expectations of the henceforth study are pointed out at the end of the paper.
