The Study And Application For Reducing Production Cycle Time Base On VSM

Under the background of economic globalization, in our country, manufacture is up against opportunity of rapid development as well as faces much more drastic competition. For the manufacture, production cycle time is one of an important indicator of production management level in enterprise, it associates with competitive competence directly. Therefore, it must be taken into account by enterprice manager that how to shorten production cycle time.VSM (value stream mapping) is a systemic analysis tool. By the case of landing door assembly line, the paper analyzes value stream in its production process, compares its present value stream with future value stream, the paper is convinced that queue and waiting time are the main parts of production cycle time, then brings forward a strategy accordingly: applies integated system of MRPII and JIT in planning, introduces assembly line in production.After analyzing and comparing between MRPII and JIT, the paper finds out that how to shorten production cycle time by JIT. As far as current situation is concerned in our company, the paper adopts combination system of MRPII and JIT. In order to apply the system, the article studies two key factors for implementing JIT: assembly line balance and Kanban. Here, it also presents one balance method base on connector. Then at following chapter, studies assembly procedure of landing door, by doing that, it is obvious that production cycle time is shortened, and inventory is decreased. Hence it also achieves welcome effects.
