With the development of the knowledge economy, the creation, transmission and application of the knowledge has been the key for the enterprises gaining their comparative advantages, therefore the effective knowledge worker motivation has been the core point of cotemporary human resource management and corporation sustainable development.This paper does systematic research on how to motivate knowledge worker in enterprises. According to experts' research results and relative motivation theories, this paper first analyzes the knowledge workers' wants through questionnaire, and then sums up the problems of motivation in enterprises. In order to resolve these problems, this paper constructs a motivation system. This paper is totally five parts. In preface, I introduce the background,meaning,research methods of this paper, and the research conditions in and abroad. In the second part, I introduce the definition and characteristics of knowledge workers; motivation theories; the definition of motivation and its process. In the third part of this paper, I find out knowledge workers' wants through questionnaire and analyze these wants. In the fourth part, I analyze the problems of motivation in enterprises. In the last part, I construct a motivation system.The main work of this paper contains 2 points. First, I find out knowledge workers' wants through questionnaire and analyze the data. Second I construct a motivation system, which involves 4 parts. they are motive system,guarantee system,evaluate system and control system.The drawback of this paper includes 2 aspects. First ,I only investigate lawyers, CPA,engineers, which makes the research results limited, because different kinds of knowledge workers have different wants and characteristics. Second, the measures in the fifth parts are not enough and lack of deep analysis.
