Work Study And Balancing Improvement On The Trunk Assembly Line Of Some Refrigeratory

Assembly line is a manufacturing system that is widely used. The balance rate of assembly line has great effect on the productivity of the system. In this paper, based on the manufacturing process analysis about the trunk assembly line of some refrigeratory, the method of work study is applied to make work units standardization both of the operation method and work condition. As a result, the balance rate is improved, and the output satisfies the market demands.First, this paper introduces it's study background and the trunk assembly line problems, non-meet demands and unbalance, and then points the importance of work study for the development of assembly line. Second, after making serious researches on actuality of the assembly line, it makes assembly unit standardization by using "5W1H" inquiry technologies and "ECRS" principles that aims at counting the natural operating time. And then distributes the assembly unite to make cycle time consistent.The application of work study not only improves the balance rate and management level of the assembly line, but also proves the validity of the industry engineering method and accelerates the application of the method.
