Design Of Performance Appraisal System Based On Balanced Scorecard In CF Construction Company

During the period from 2006 to 2010, all the construction enterprises in China will face great challenge with the fiercer competition on market home and abroad as well as the drastic reform of the guild configuration. How to reach the strategic objections and develop quickly is really a problem for CF Co..Establishing an effective set of performance appraisal system is one of the indispensable solutions for CF Construction Co. to fulfill its strategic objections. The comprehensive analysis on the current performance appraisal system in CF Construction Co reveals the deficiency and disadvantage of CF Construction Construction Co. in exercising business strategy.After examining several advanced and popular performance appraisal theories, this thesis sets up a new and advanced performance appraisal system which combines MBO, BSC, KPI theories all together. The new system is established on the original performance appraisal system of CF Construction Co., taking the Balanced Scorecard theory as the base and the main framework, adopting the Key Performance Indicator theory as a concrete tool.The new designed KPIs system consists of four levels such as enterprise level, department level, project department level and individual level, and each level will be valued through four dimensions including financial, customer, internal business, learning and innovation. In consideration of the situations in CF Construction Co, this thesis threw light on some practical problems such as how to maintain the continuous performance communication, how to exercise the performance appraisal and get the feedback, the weight that the salary should be affected by the results of the appraisal.In summary, this thesis makes a detailed field research on the performance appraisal by using the Balanced Scorecard theory, as well as provides CF Construction co. with a better performance appraisal system.
