With the power system reform and establishment of electric power market, it is a important task for everyone in power marketing that control marketing management, enhance competitive, raise rate in end-energy sources, consolidate their market today and exploit it tomorrow for power enterprise.With the rapid development of science, technology and the management science, project management thinking has penetrated into the community in all aspects. The rapid development of information technology, especially the computer networks, provides the conditions for building electric power marketing management system which is based on computer network.This paper mainly analyzes the success of building based on electric power marketing management information system for Gansu Province. Firstly, the thesis discusses the characteristic of electric power marketing and then introduces the conception of power marketing management information system. Secondly, necessity of building system is studied. It gives a description of content and procedure for power marketing management information system building. At the same time, the problem is analyzed. The procedure and manage of power marketing management information system for Gansu Province is researched. According to the method of life period by the marketing system of Gansu Power Supply, the paper research procedure and content in different stage. Knowledge of management information systems and project management is used in the paper. The success of marketing system of Gansu Power Supply brings about a striking effect. The research draws inspiration from success of building. It also gives a successful reference for other management information system building and management.
