Research Of Supplier Selection Based On Supply Chain Management

The competition in 21 century is no more located among enterprises, but in all the supply chains. Supply chain management has been commonly implemented in manufacturing management. It has become a new management model. As the source of manufacturing resource, the performance of supplier influences the whole chain directly. So supplier selection has become one of the core steps of supply chain management.This paper spreads out just based on the above background. Firstly, this paper illustrates the basic concepts and theories of supply chain management, introduces the research condition of related area, and analyses the changes between suppliers and manufacturers under the condition of supplier chain management. Secondly, based on the classification of suppliers, this paper does research in the characteristics of every kind of suppliers. Then taking strategic suppliers as research object, a set of appraisement index system for core manufacturer is constructed in efficient supply chain. It includes three dimensions: product supply, supplier organization and cooperation & information transmitting. After studying steps and ways of supplier selection, this paper uses analysis hierarchy process to appraise suppliers. At last, this paper takes an enterprise as an example and conducts a substantial evidence research, bringing forward improvement suggestion for the enterprise.The creativeness in this paper lies in the opinion that supplier selection needs to combine with enterprise purpose and supply chain type; this paper presents comprehensive and practical index system; the conclusion presents good reference for related research and enterprise practice.
