Land is always cherished by most households as one of the most important inputs for traditional agricultural production. However, with the development of economic, some plots are transferred temporarily between some farmers. Once conditions are satisfied, some implications for the land market consummation will be very helpful in policy making. It is important and urgent to explore the determinants of farmers' land transfering.Based on the investigation in Xishan district, Wuxi city, a developed area in Jiangsu province, we captured the characteristics of land use, the structure of land allocation and the regional disparity in detail. Furthermore, we empirically analyzed the determinants of household' participating in the land market. With the Logit model parameters were estimated finally.The result indicated that the key factors affecting farmers' participating in land market are the complicated procedure of land supervision and the scale of cultivated lands. It means that the development of land market will greatly affect households' participation rate in land market. Besides, some clues were also found that the development of labor market would affect household' participation rate at the same time...
