Risk management is very important for an enterprise, especially for the internal construction companies which want to enter international construction market. Risk management just means identifying and assessing the potential unexpected risk and taking suitable ways to deal with it to reduce loss or gain extra profit. It's system including identifying, assessing, tactic etc.The analytic hierarchy process is a systematic procedure for representing the elements of any problem. It organizes the basic rationality by breaking down a problem into its smaller constituents and then calls for only simple pairwise comparison judgments, to develop priorities in each level. The analytic hierarchy process provides a comprehensive framework to cope with intuitive, rational, and irrational factors in making judgments at the same time. It is a method of integrating perceptions and purposes into an overall synthesis. The analytic hierarchy process does not require that judgments be consistent or even transitive. The degree of consistency (or inconsistency) of the judgment is revealed at the end of the analytic hierarchy process.Sinopec SABIC project appertain ethane project of 1.3 million ton per year in Saudi Arabian Basic Industry corporation. It includes: PP, PE and PHU, which will take US$750 million and 31.5 months to build it. The Combo of SSEC, SCC and Ak Kervanaer will be the EPC contractor, so the contract relation is complex. It's too difficult to build this project for requirement of owner is very strict and the environment is hard to work. The model of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) on assessing the risk of Sinopec SABIC project is established. The project key manage team and specialists of risk assessing are required to compare the factors one by one. After combining the all data, the proportion of every risk factor was calculated. The paper systemically analyzed the project risk factors and find countermeasure for schedule risk, cost risk, quality risk and safety risk.
