Research On Koguryo World Cultural Heritage Sustainable Tourism Development In JI'AN

DURING THE 28TH WORLD HERITAGE CONFERENCE (july 2004), The Capital city and tombs of the ancient Koguryo Kingdom was named A world cultural heritage. It is the first and the only independent existing city in North East China included in the world heritage until now. Most items of this world heritage are located in ji an in jilin province except for the Wu Nu Mountain City in Huan ren in Liaoning province. Nowadays, mass tourism has been developing around the world, SO cultural heritage used for tourism development become an inevitable trend. After successfully supplying for the world heritage, JI AN tourism industry has also made an unprecedented progress. However, many cultural heritage cities that developed tourism had to decide between heritage protection and heritage tourism obviously due to improper or excessive develop of tourism. JI AN heritage tourism is still in the initial stage, at this time we should understand the direction of development and learn from other heritage sites'experiences. Therefore we can develop heritage conservation and heritage tourism harmoniously.These papers at first analyzes the values of the world cultural heritage Capital city and tombs of the ancient Koguryo Kingdom, summing up the experiences and lessons of other heritage sites, and conclude that we should obey the main points to get the sustainable development of heritage tourism. Then according to the mutual beneficial relationship between heritage tourism and heritage protection, confirm the feasibility of sustainable tourism development. At last I provide detailed ways to sustain the development of Cultural Heritage Tourism, mainly according to the more important points concluded at beginning and the reality of ji an :firstly, from the perspective of the system, on the basis of government's macro-control ,getting intellectual support from experts and scholars to make the cultural heritage tourist deeply developed;Secondly, play the initiative of community residents, and make the community participate in the development of Cultural Heritage Tourism. Get the cultural heritage resources and the natural resources together to achieve the coordination of natural and cultural resources. Finally, achieve cultural heritage tourism and heritage protection in harmony and achieve the heritage tourism sustainable development.
