At the end of the 20th century, with a wave of information swept the world, China released a clear information strategy. As a result of a decade's development, Internet is already commoditized and the broadband Internet develops, speedily in China, greatly facilitating the rapid development of Chinese economy and vice versa. Telecom operators obtain lots of development opportunities. All of 6 major telecom operators in Kaifeng emphasize broadband services and the relevant market becomes more and more competitive.Under these conditions, how can CNC Henan maintain its leadership and competitive advantages in the Internet industry in Kaifeng? How to develop broadband services into the core business? These are issues this paper tries to address. It analyzes the external environment and internal conditions for the development of broadband services at CNC Kaifeng, works out relevant development strategy referring to modern management and marketing theories, and provides the development mindset.This paper analyzes the development status, micro and macro environments of broadband services, specifies opportunities and threats during broadband development and compares strengths and weaknesses of CNC Kaifeng with those of other operators in Kaifeng by adopting SWOT. It also produces the overall development strategy of broadband services at CNC Henan out of the analysis outcomes, as well as specific strategies in region, technology, differential value chain and marketing channel etc. This paper focuses on the research on enterprise practical strategy under the direction of market analysis, five-forces model and other modern marketing & management theories. It acts as a reference for the theory and practice of broadband development at CNC Kaifeng.
