| There exists a lot of risk in every detail of the network which is consisted of suppliers, manufacturers, wholesales and retailers. Any problem in any detail will greatly influence the whole supply chain and harm the service quality of the whole supply chain. The research takes a threshold of the relationship between information passing and supply chain member relation to discuss the potential correlation between them through empirical research. Through the research on the information passing between supply chain members, the paper explains how information passing influences supply chain member relationship. We hope to provide some useful information for Chinese enterprises to improve supply chain efficiency with effective information passing.The paper puts forward 8 related theoretical hypotheses after analyzing the relationship between variables. In the empirical research, we use questionnaires and do statistical analysis. The result of empirical research shows that there is a positive correlation between information passing and supply chain member relationship, but different variables of information passing has different influence on trust and commitment. Specifically, new technology commitment, good quality of information and operational information are positively related to trust. Strategic information is not apparently related to trust. New technology commitment, good quality of information and strategic information are positively related to commitment, but operational information passing is not apparently related to commitment. Such result proves an important relationship—active and effective information passing of enterprises plays a positive role in improving supply chain member relationship. Besides, the paper explains the reason why different variables have different influence on trust and commitment. We also give some advice on how to improve management, so as to provide some help for the practical management for Chinese enterprises. |
