Research On Development Mode Of Industrial Tourism

Under the background of technology development and economic adjustment, the relationship among industries becomes closer. And the trend of industry penetration and industry convergence becomes more and more evidently. Industrial tourism is just the outcome of the convergence between secondary industry and tertiary industry. As a new industry, industrial tourism develops rapidly. By contrast, the research on industrial tourism is slower, which confines practice of industrial tourism. However, the research on development mode of industrial tourism is significant.On the basis of analyzing foreign and domestic research on industrial tourism, this thesis summarizes the differences between domestic and foreign research as follows: research time, research object, research content, research methodology and research production. And it proposes research prospect. Then, the thesis expounds the basic theory of industrial tourism from three aspects: firstly, the concept of industrial tourism is redefined; secondly, the characteristics and significance of industrial tourism are summarized; thirdly, the concept, necessities and content of community participation in industrial tourism are expounded in detail. In this thesis, industrial tourism is defined as follows: A special tourism product and an outcome of the convergence between secondary industry and tertiary industry, which bases on industrial resource, follows market-oriented principle, satisfies tourists' various demand and also brings about economic, environment and social benefit for the government and enterprises. Based on the above definition, the thesis summarizes the typical development modes as follows: industrial heritage tourism, industrial popular science tourism, industrial park tourism and enterprise culture tourism. And it discusses them in detail by using abundant cases. The primary innovations of this thesis are to enhance the comparative study of foreign and domestic research on industrial tourism, to perfect basic theory system of industrial tourism and to summarize four typical development modes of industrial tourism.
