Researches On The Status Quo Of China Agricultural Products Related To TBT

"Technical Barriers to Trade," also refers to "technical trade measures" or "technical barriers" which a country takes some of the mandatory and non-mandatory technical regulations,protocols,standards and certification systems or other forms of technical measures for the sake of national security or the protection of human health and safety and for animal or plant life and health and protection of the ecological environment,sometimes even for the reason to prevent fraud and ensure the quality of products.TBT involved many things that appeared a flexible,numerous provisions.A large number of technical barriers appear as a veneer of legality,so has become the most covert international trade and the most difficult entreated non-tariff barriers.As we know,these technical measures involve many fields and links:Agricultural products,foodstuffs,electronic products,textiles,information industry,appliances, medicine and chemicals.Agricultural products suffered the most regulations and invisible barriers which take a negative impact to China's exports of agricultural products in recent years.For the technical trade barriers,90 percent of agricultural and food export lose about 90 billion dollars every year.Many agricultural products such as aquatic products,livestock,poultry meat and other animal-derived agricultural products,tea,peanuts,vegetables and other plant products,processed products has to face the technical barriers restrictions.Therefore,more and more attention has paid to the study of technical barriers to trade.First,my paper described the concept about technical trade barriers and then expounded some forms,mechanisms related to barriers.And then we analyze the legislation work and the achievements about the China's agricultural products export trade.Of course,the existed problems in the laws and regulations related to agricultural export were also analyzed and summarized.Second,we expound and preliminary discuss the current situation about export of agricultural products and the status quo we faced the TBT and analyze why our country has to encounter many technical barriers by following of the various forms about the trade barriers. Finally,on how to resolve the agricultural exports faced technical barriers,we bring forward the concept:agricultural standardization.The idea that we take out for the legislation is in order to better promote China's exports of agricultural products and avoids technical barriers.
