Quantitative Method Research On The Social Benefit Of China-Brazil Earth Resource Satellite Based On CVM

In recent years, the widely application of resource satellite not only has bought our nation considerable economic benefits, but also immeasurable social benefits in China's social life, industrial development, science education, national cohesion and the international community. In terms of the merits of its social benefit, which are macroscopic, indirect, serviceable, long-range and of public goods feature, the contigent valuation method, which has been widely used as one of non-market valuation method, is introduced to estimate the social benefit of China-Brizil Earth Resource Satellite.The whole paper is divided into five parts. The first part describes the background, significance and the status quo of the research, and also the framework of the paper; the second part briefly introduces the non-market evaluation methods and their feasures, and the feature of contigent valuation method as one of the non-market evaluation methods; the third part focuses on the contigent valuation method itself, which includes the status quo, research steps, the problems that will be enconterd in the process of research and their solutions; the fourth part illustrates the feasibility of estimating the social benefit of China-Brazil earth resource satellite by using contigent valuation method from the perspectives of the application fields of contigent valuation method, the features, especially the public goods feature of CBERS'social benefit; the fifth part describes specifically the whole process of estimating the social benefit of CBERS by using contigent valuation method, and also discusses the possibility of estimating the other defense services as well as other public goods by using contigent valuation method.The major innovation of the paper is that it has introduced contigent valuation method to evaluate the social benefit of CBERS, a kind of defense services, and also added consciousness survey into the questionair. Through widely investigation and questionair survey, it provides the whole economic of the social benefit finally and proposes sound recommendations for the further development of resource satellite in China. The last part summarizes the whole work, reveales the inadequacies of the current research, and enlightens some possible improvements in both theoretical and empirical analysis for the future work.
