A Study On The Issue Of Rural Education Serving The New Rural Construction

The construction of the socialist new rural is the Communist Party's major policy decision made by the Fifth Plenary Session of the 16th Central Committee. That is not only a major historic task in China's modernization process but also a strategic move to resolve the problems of rural, peasant and agriculture. It has a rich connotation that includes developed production, rich life, civilized custom, neatly village and democratic administration. Material civilization, vigorous civilization, political civilization and so on are included in it. It is obviously that the new rural construction is a systematic project including politics, economics and culture instead of emphasis on only one part.The rural education is not only the foundation of our national education cause but also the key to improving the quality of the mass. The new rural has a more extensive demand for the rural education, for which the rural education become the hot issue in the educational research. Of course, it is a focus and difficult point in the present educational research. From the connotation of new rural construction, we can know that education is one of the necessary and important contents of it. The new rural construction should take the rural education in its construction plan. But the reality is contrary. That is to say, the present reality shows that there is no connection between the two parts. Such case heavily breaks the harmony between the rural education and new rural construction. At present, facing the new period and new task, how the rural education adjusts itself to the demands of the social and economical development?In view of the above-mentioned research facts, writer analyses the problems of the rural education serving new rural construction through a large investigation of Lianhua county in Jiangxi province. The investigation is made on the relevant leaders, teachers, students and patriarchies etc. The aim of the research has two points. One is trying to do some contributions to setting up a harmonious system for the rural education in Lianhua county. The other one is to propose some reasonable advice on how the new rural construction takes in the rural education and makes it work. The article is divided into four parts.The introduction systemically introduces the background and meaning of this research. On the basis of analyzing the relevant study on this subject, I present the clue and way of my research.The first part introduces the basic relation between the rural education and the rural economics development, analyzes the connotation and background of the rural education and new rural construction. In this part, the most important content is the discussion on the important status and outstanding role of the rural education in the process of new rural construction.The second part mainly presents the process of the new rural construction in Lianhua county. On the basis of a large investigation, it all-sidedly analyzes the main achievement and deficiency of new rural construction in Lianhua county. At the same time, according to the connotation of new rural construction and the target of harmonious society, it points out the direction and target of new rural construction. At last, it discusses the new demands on the rural education in the process of new rural construction.The third part points out the deficiency on the rural education serving new rural construction, then profoundly analyzes what cause in Lianhua county.The fourth part proposes some advice and countermeasure to put forward the rural education serving new rural construction. Suggesting that we should pay attention to promotion the rural education serving new rural construction from the following aspects: promoting cognition, making use of educational resources, deepening the reform of rural education etc.
