This paper studied the key factors leading to the success of scientific and technological ventures. J. A. Timmons, a well known American expert in the field of venture management, considered ventures as the combination of three important factors i.e. opportunity, resources and management team, and further proposed the Timmons Model. Timmons emphasized that entrepreneurs have to adapt, balance and integrate "opportunity, resources and management team" in building an enterprise. Mcrae considered how to apply flexible management strategy in order to adapt to the requirements of the rapid changing market to be the key factor leading to entrepreneurial success. Steiner & Solem considered the unique difference of products and the ability to focus on a particular market to be the key factors leading to entrepreneurial success. Nowadays, economic globalization and rapid scientific development, particularly the rapid development of internet technology and bio-medical technology, resulted in many uncertain factors for scientific enterprises. Under such condition and considering the nature of scientific ventures and current state in China, The author recognize the importance of technology and unique products, capital management, and management team in the entrepreneurial process.Based on the development of worldwide scientific and technologic ventures, the innovation in business mode and the timing of products entering into market played animportant role in the success of scientific and technologic ventures.The paper described traditionally acknowledged key factors, and future elaborated the timing of a product entering the market and the innovation in business model.
