| Tourism history research hasn't been touched in the range of tourism research and history research, let alone in the range of modern tourism history research. NanYue Mountain modern tourism development, not only an epitome of Chinese modern tourism development, but also typically representing the modern tourism development of Chinese inland and remote areas, has undergone a period of more than thirty years. At the beginning of the 21-century, Chinese tourism is still fast developing and NanYue Mountain is steadily going ahead according to the principle of "sustainable development". Therefore, it's urgent to objectively unfold the development of NanYue Mountain modern tourism and systematically make a conclusion for the good experiences and lessons. The angle of ancient tourist culture is mostly used in the research on NanYue Mountain and the ancient and modern periods were paid more attention in the research on Chinese tourism history. With historical methods, as well as the synthesis of tourism and statistics, this paper preliminarily studied the development course of NanYue Mountain modern tourism and lessons which is a try-out of the research field in contemporary tourism history.After thoroughly analyzing the international, domestic and regional backgrounds where NanYue Mountain modern tourism emerges and develops, this paper divides NanYue Mountain modern tourism development history into two stages: evolving stage of NanYue Mountain's recovery and development (1978-1999) and developing stage of Mountain's further development(2000- ), with the initial NanYue International longevity Cultural Festival as the dividing lines. From the angle of the tourist places, this paper discusses the basic developing process and the important history events in the two developing stages. As well, this paper mainly analyses the economic, cultural and environmental influences of the modern tourism development of NanYue Mountain and makes a conclusion for the lessons. |
