With the speedup of economic globalization and marketization ,the releasing of trade system of countries, and the coming of the date on which opening express market under Chinese undertaking when entering WTO, China Post's main handlingbusiness-----EMS is facing huge development opportunities and heavy challenge ofoverseas and domestic competitors. Facing opportunities and challenge, EMS is thinking where it should go and how to make decision to keep long-term and continual development. Therefore, it is very important for EMS to analyze competitors' competing condition and strategies, discuss how to increase the core competition abilities of EMS, clear its' marketing position, decide medium and long term development target and strategy countermeasures.Firstly, the thesis briefly analyses global market development conditions of express and Chinese express's market status: express market has huge market development potential ,which is attracting many competitors coming from both overseas and domestic market to join, and EMS's market share is decreasing gradually. Secondly, based on the studying on the competition abilities, development and strategies of EMS's main competitors, the thesis discusses EMS's competition abilities and market strategies. Meanwhile, the writer analyses EMS's advantages and disadvantages. Lastly, in order to adapt to the market, realize the market share and realize the long term development, comparing the differences on core competition abilities, advantages and disadvantages between EMS and its main competitors, the thesis gives EMS's short , medium and long term strategies respectively based on the practice of China Post.
