| Regional sustainable development research is the important field of sustainable development research in recent years. It is commonly used method to evaluate the sustainable development situations of the economy, society, resource and environment in a special region through constructing a set of indicator system. This paper takes Longyan City as the concrete object of study, designs the sustainable development indicator system for Longyan City, and evaluates synthetically the sustainable development condition from 1997 to 2006 in Longyan City, in order to provide the reference for local development.This paper summarizes the sustainable development research contents , including concept, connotation, assessment method and content, the strategic research on sustainable development, and the redearch advance on region sustainable development indicator systems at home and abroad. In combining with the base of the present development situation in Longyan City, the sustainable development indicator system is established from three aspects on economy, society, resource and environment. This system includes three levels, the first-level indicator includes three indicators of the economy, society, resource and environment, the second-level includs twenty indicators, the third-level includes seventy indicators.Based on the oragional data of each indicator system from 1997-2006 in Longyan City, the paper carries out the zero dimension normalization process to the oragional data through the membership functions and calculates various targets weight through th combination of the analytic hierarchy process (Delphi) and expert consults process(AHP), then figures out the economy sustainable index (Ec), social sustainable development index (Sc) and resources and environment sustainable development index (En) from 1997 to 2006 in Longyan City by using the multi-objective linear weighting functions, designs the horizontal index (LI), development index (DI) and coordinated index (CI), establishes the synthetic evaluation model of region sustainable development for Longyan City. According to the model the analytical study was conducted on the sustainable development situation in 1997-2006 in Longyan City, the conclusion is that in generally speaking the rapid economy development has certainly influenced on the resource use and the ecological environment, but the economy development has led to the social progress, and could make up the negative benefit broght by environment destruction to certain degrees. Looking from the sustainable development horizontal index (LI), developmental level in Longyan City is making great strides toward the higher scale, looking from the development index (DI), the development was at sustainable condition in 1997-1999 in Longyan City, during 1999-2000 the development obviously presented non-sustainable. Along with the development strategic adjustment, Longyan displayed sustainable development in 2000-2005, but the sustainable development speed droped in 2005-2006, looking from coordinated index (CI), the development showed non sustainable and unbalance in 1999-2000, the development belonged to the weak sustainable scope in 2001-2002, the sustainable development coordinated indexes showed that Longyan City was in strong sustainable development in the other years.In view of the synthetic evaluation results of sustainable development quality in Longyan City and combining with the opinion of experts, the paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures to sustainable development in Longyan City, and proposes the forecast to the research of synthetic evaluation on sustainable development. |
