Lots of new characteristics about market competition are presented along with the acceleration of economy globalization and integration, that is, increasing individuation, difference, and uncertainty of customer requirement, rapid expansion of product variety, and stricter request for delivery time. The customer more and more hope to get to the product with high quality that make up a person's character, at the same time the price is rather cheap. Then that product not only contain mass production mode to get rather low cost and high-efficiency but also satisfy the customer's diversity character. In that case, some scholars brought forward a new production mode——Mass Customization (MC) in 1987. Many business enterprise executives and scholars pay more attention to this point of view. The researches based on mass customization have been conducted quite many, but the research based on economics is still vacancy. This paper makes research on product design and business running of mass customization based on economics analysis method.The paper first summarizes the background, characteristic of concept, and the actuality of the research in this domain both home and abroad of MC. Based on all these above and the discussion of the significance of research on MC, we propose an investigation into MC on the point of view of economics. We regard the cost control in the process of product designing for an enterprise as the most efficient method, and propose a solution to this method. Then we make effort on the research of process of stock and sale in the enterprise's action on MC, and propose a possibility of fellowship between enterprise, supplier, and seller.This paper combines graphic method, contrasting method, quantitative analysis method, and qualitative analysis method to research MC. Because of the investigation subject particularity, the paper builds a few mathematic models while discussing supplier chooses primary with qualitative analysis and secondary with quantification analysis. The innovation is embodied in two aspect: in the first instance, the paper combines economics analysis and principles of management analysis together, start with the economics analysis, ultimately on principles of management analysis; in the next place, studying the product design and operation of mass customization enterprise, this two parts are to complement each other.There is seldom research on bringing economics analysis into mass customization, the article has done the primary discussion, I hope it would enlighten the further research, and make this research to a certain sense.
