Research On Evaluation For Intensive Utilization Of Industrial Land Based On The Production Function Theory

With the accelerating process of urbanization and industrialization in China,the scale of the urban construction land grows rapidly and meanwhile the available land resource is in short supply day by day.The contradiction between the supply and the demand of land has become an important factor restricting the economic and social development.China has a huge population,but an inadequate land resource.This is the basic national conditions and land shall be used sparingly for non-agricultural construction purposes.The industrialized land is one of the major usages of the construction land and holds the major bulk of the urban land.At present,China's urban industrial land is higher in the proportion and lower in the efficiency,the study on the intensive use of industrial land is the focus of the urban land intensive use.Based on the lessons at home and abroad on the intensive use of urban land-related theory,the paper analyses the basic characterstics and the main problems of the industrial land usage in China and with the starting point of taking the intensive use of industrial land as the medium administrative levels,the paper takes the effectiveness of the land input and output as a chief means of measuring the intensive use of the industrial land. With introducing the Production Function Theory and the definition of the intensive use of industrial land,the paper sets the production function for appraising the intensive use of the industrial land.With the statistical data of the industrial enterprises in the city of Wuhan,the paper finds that during 1996-2003,the modes of industrial land usage changed form the extensive type to the intensive use.After the analysis of the result,it can be found that the research on intensive use of industrial land based on the Production Function Theory is an effective way to appraise the industrial land.
