Nowadays Ornamental Plants Industry is a potential industry in our country. With the development of economy, urban demands in ornamental plants are increasing dramatically. It is fashion to enjoy ornamental in home, and the consumption in flower become more and more. In order to beautify the city, government is promoting the plant of trees, flowers and grass. And government also increase its expenditure in landscaping. As for the above reasons, the demands in ornamental plants are increasing greatly, which created objective conditions for farmers to adjust their farming structure to the development of ecological agriculture. This paper selects KuiPeng, a village of Guangzhou,in which mainly business is to plant ornamental plants, to be the research subject because Kuipeng now is carrying out the model of individual production rather than large-scale industrialized production, with the constraint of large population but little ground. That individual model has high costs and risks but low efficiency; and addition in quantity does not mean increasing in income. With the development of booming economy and urbanization, quantity of agricultural land in Guangzhou showing a declining tendency, land has become a vital factor which impacts the interests of farmers directly. How to solve the expensive land rent problem and avoid increasing amount without increasing income, has a widely sense to the village in which land become less and less. This paper begins from the view of flower planting village and specialized households, to study the impact of business model to the development of rural country and the income of peasants. This paper has six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, focusing on the background, purpose and significance of this paper and the problem to be solved. In this chapter, we firstly discuss the research ideas and methods and its innovative points. Secondly, we introduces the flower industry and its recent development from overseas and domestic aspect, and highlights the business model of flower industry is critical to the development of rural economy. In the second chapter, we analyze the situation and problems faced by KuiPeng village, and draw a conclusion that those problems are due to dispersive plant, unreasonable variety, expensive rental and lack of brand awareness. These weaknesses are common in Guangzhou and Pearl River Delta region. The third chapter studies the solution to these problems. The fourth chapter we study the feasibility of three innovative business models, which are "specialized households commonwealth", "company + commonwealth + farmers" and "production + auction", to improve farmers' income in the conditions of more population but little land. The fifth chapter discusses the solution by promoting flower town tourism and building up popular science base. We think water resource and environmental protection should be considered firstly before promoting flower town tourism, then this chapter discusses the methods to create flower theme rural tourism industry, construct flower knowledge popularize base, promote flower characteristics food culture, which would transfer of surplus rural labor to non-agricultural industries and increase fanners' income. This chapter is the key of this paper. Finally, the sixth chapter summarizes the whole paper by highlights that government should pay more attention to the promotion of flower culture and the support of relative technique, village management should make long-term development program. We believe these improvements will enlarge the development of ornamental plant industry and realize the income increase in both rural region and farmer families.
