Internal motivations play an equally crucial role in management of both profit and non-profit organizations (hereinafter referred to as NPOs). This essay focuses its attention on motivations for non-profit organizations, or to be more exact, on non-government organizations (hereinafter referred to as NGOs), despite mrariad yet by no means in-depth efforts ever made. This issue, in light of current rapid growth of China's NGOs , is of great theoretical and realistic significance under the background of China's current endeavoring to construct soial harmony and stablity. The essay has indulged its efforts in probing in such major motivating factors as mission, career development, public relations and remuneration and in its structure to proof-test the pre-established premise. Among all these factors, mission and career development are given the top priorities because of their impact on staff and volunteers. Through the survey on satisfaction of the staff and volunteers with the above factors, motivating hindrances in the NGOs have been analyzed and recommendations made.
