Peter F. Drucker, a management expert, once said:" The aim of the manager is not to change his employees, but to strengthen an organization by activating their individual advantages. " So, how to explore each person's potential has become the crux to a firm's persistent development. A good motivating Mechanism can improve Employees' enthusiasm and make the firm more vigorous and competitive.Base on the motivating mechanism of IT firms, this paper fully introduces the models of classical motivating theory, including need model, process model and status model. Then, To illustrate the motivating theory and make further research on the theory, the paper analyzes the motivating methods and strategies which are currently common used by the IT firms. Furthermore, the paper points out the limits of the current theory and the questions encountered in the IT firms' practice. All the views. Are not a denial to the traditional motivating theories, but a positive affirmation to them.To make further research on the IT firms' appliance of the motivating mechanism, this paper analyzes the famous IT companies' mechanism in word wide. Base on the research, this paper also analyzes the features and the known questions in the motivating field of Xi'an future international software co. LTD. What's more, the paper puts forward a series motivating measures fixed to the company.Nowadays, there are both a lot of chances and challenges ahead for IT firms. Buiding up a motivating mechanism which is adapt to specific enterprise has an important meaning for the company's persistent, stable , concerted and fast development. Through the deeply research on the motivating mechanism theory, case and the current state of specific IT firms, This paper aims at offering some references for a IT firm to explore it's own motivating mechanism.
