However, some defects exist in China's pertinent policy which, to a certain extent, has hindered the development of the genetically modified technology. Therefore, this article makes the comparative analysis of American, European Union and Japan's genetically modified food policy through introducing the genetically modified food's present situation and development, and proposes China's future trend policy of genetically modified food.Firstly, the article analyzes the GMF's present situation in detail, obtaining from the GMF's concept and the classification. It is believed that GMF itself can reduce the cost, increase the grain per-unit area yield and so on superiority and the future world grain supply and demand not balanced external situation, has accelerated rapid development of the GMF industry, although it brings the possibility of the harm to the ecological-environmental and the human health. Along with the genetically modified technology's deep research, the GMF's secure question will obtain the very good solution, and will become one of important sources of human food in the near future.Afterward makes the comparative analysis of American, European Union and Japan's GMF policy's difference, especially of its management, the examination licensing system, the marking system and the safety evaluation mechanism. Then pointed out the reason.Finally, it also analyzes the present situation of China's GMF, the possible trend of development and GMF policy's insufficiency in China.
