China is confronted with the largest urbanization of the world, urbanization and dilation of city is one of important energy that driving and supplying High-speed growth of our country's economy in two decades. It will be enormous impetus for economic increasing in the future.Urban land is the carrier of the urban function, the level of urban land utilization efficiency is the key factor influencing the urbanization process. At the same time, the city land-use scientific planning will become and construct the important insurance of the sustainable development model of the cities, and the scale of the cities is the direct performance of the city's development, it is the important parameter in urban construction and formulation process, having deep influence on city's development. So, scientific defining the relationship between the size of cities and efficiency of urban land , which make use of urban land resource for point of view, to make more optimum development of urban scale, it is obviously a very meaningful thesis research topic to advance the development of urban economic with the minimum cost or supreme quality.This paper is a research on the point of input and output by economy, society and environment of urban land, divided into urban compactness, urban land utilize structure, invest intensity of urban land, urban land output levels and sustainable development of urban land, selecting efficiency estimation system of urban land using scientific, Using Principal Component Analysis and Data Envelopment Analysis to appraising and analyzing fifteen central cities of Yangtze River Delta Region to compare different urban scale with different urban land utilization efficiency.After the research on the efficiency of urban land of the fifteen central cities of Yangtze River Delta Region, the paper finally make the propose that strengthening the government effectively promote the reasonableness of the decision-making on optimizing the allocation of urban land resources in promoting the urbanization process...
