The Construction Of Regional Innovation System Based On Gaining The Regional Competitive Advantage

Nowadays, with the trend of economy globalization the world is becoming more and more like a global village. Meanwhile, the process of economy globalization of the world takes on conspicuous characteristics of regionalization. The concept of geography is becoming more important and conspicuous. In some rising regions such as Silicon Valley as the Center of Information Technology, Hollywood as the base of grand film, Tsinchu as the center of manufacturing and collecting and distributing of computers, Pearl River Delta as the base of manufacturing industry outsourcing, the images of these regions have surpassed the ones of big enterprises, the border of the countries and politics. The new work division has not been processed on the basis of the competitiveness of the country, but on the competitiveness of the region. The competitiveness of the enterprise does not only depend on the environment of the country where the enterprise is located, but the environment of the region and the location. The construction of regional innovation system has become one of hot spots and region competitiveness is always a problem needed to be solved.This study in the first place introduces the basic theory of the regional innovation system which comprises the concepts, elements, structure and function; then demonstrates the relation between the region competitiveness and the construction of regional innovation system which includes the relation between the regional competition and regional innovation system, the chain relation between regional competitive advantages and regional innovation system. At the same time it introduces the principles of the construction of the regional innovation system for the purpose of winning the regional competitive advantages. Then the paper analyses the successful cases of the construction of the regional innovation system both abroad and at home and acquires their construction experiences which includes the construction experiences of California of USA and Shanghai of China. Finally it analyses the basic situation of Wuhan, the power of technology and innovation of enterprises, comprehensively evaluates the innovation capability of Wuhan Region, and points out the notable problems resulting from the region innovation of Wuhan Region,and gives some advices on the region innovation system of Wuhan on the basis of the forgoing theories.
