It has become more important to the development of construction company, carrying out the constructing by the law of project by making more widespread the experience of LUBUGE since 1980's. How to construct the project team successfully is the main mean of improving the level of management to construction company, facing the intense competition of future.It is not the technology and equipment but the inter quality and the level of management of the project manager, which determines the success of the project, and many practices of project at home and abroad have prove it enough. Having the inter-disciplinary talent which have interrelated knowledge and skills, and constructing the project team successfully, are the pivotal factor to the success of project. The project manager play a key role in construction project, and the inter quality of the project manager is fateful to the construction engineering management. So, researching the task of the construction of project team, in theory and practice, is very important to the healthy growth of construction company in our country.As the international lucubrating in competency theory, it has established competency models matching different business and positions, which basically focusing on competency research of higher management, and requiring further lucubrating on team leader and members. Especially on construction engineering territory, for the limitation of business and system, there is short of referenced research results on project team construction, particularly based on competency. Be lacking in systemic research and guide, many firms have not set up project team construction models successful fitting for their own development.As the later starting and lower level of project team construction in our country, it is badly insufficient in talented person of project management. Simultaneously, it often ignore the actuality and analysis on surroundings of company in project team construction, for its normative, there is severely aimless and haphazardly on the project management. All of these restrict the holistic management average of the company, and make against forming the key role of competitive strength, influencing the existence and growth of construction company.By discussing the theory of competency and team, beginning to analyze the actuality of project team construction of XX Construction Group, interviewing and giving investigation to managers of company and project, with my own experiences in construction company for the past many years, we can analysis the current situation of project team construction of the company, and propose the competency-based construction plan of construction engineering team project, selecting the project manager by competency modeling of project manager, and choosing team members by role model. Furthermore, we draw up an optimizing plan to solve the key problem in project team construction, and further research on how to construct a project team which is in best performance and sustained development. With scientificalness and practicability, the plan can use as a source of reference to project team construction of our construction engineering company.The innovative ideas of this thesis are analyzing the current situation of project team of construction company by applying the theory of competency and team, and drawing up a project team construction plan based on competency. It brings new ideas to project team construction of construction company of our country and to construct a project team which is in best performance and sustained development.
