The Operation Of OEM As A Transitional Strategy In The International Process Of The Enterprises

With the further development of gobal economy, OEM is anything but a new born baby.Just like some countries and areas during the WorldWarⅡ,such as Janpan and Tanwan,China, holding a large amount of processing manufacture from developed countries nowadays, has become a real "gobal workshop".Since OEM has greatly accelerated the growth of economy,there are more and more research on it both at home and abroad.Among them,foreign researches have mainly focus on the benefit of outsourcers,using certain kinds of model to discusse how to find a suitable OEM suppliers,and forwarding some suggestions in dealing with the relationship with suppliers.Meanwhile,domestic researches handle this issue from the viewpoint of OEM suppliers,discussing the advantages and disadvantages of OEM to suppliers to help them explore their own way.This thesis choose the international process of enterprises as a breakthrough point,and Chinese household appliancecorporations as an example.Through the analysis to the current statement and developing trend of household appliancecorporations,the motive and the pressure of the globalization of those corporations can be clearly identified.Along with the characteristics of OEM cooperation, we can fully aware of both the importance and limitation of OEM method to the globalization of household appliance corporation.Then,through the comparison to the key elements an international corporation should bear,article analyzes the advantages and disadvanges of OEM in helping the corporation to realize those elements and raises some suggestions from the aspects of the core technology of products,overseas income,entrance of the main channel in targeted market, etc.This thesis is based on the globalization of the corporation,instead of discussing whether the firm should give up OEM or when should they engage in OBM operation,thesis approves OEM as a inevasible trend of social division of labor firstly,then make further suggestions according to the flaws of OEM operation during globalization.
