With the improve of people living, the demand for the small household appliance increase rapidly and there is big market potential for the small household appliance. However, most of the small household appliance are at low level stage of the value chain with low price and low profit. In recent years, the competition in the international market is more and more fierce, the small household appliance companies in China one side faced the pressure of the price and in the other side, undertake the pressure of the production cost. The appreciation of the RMB, the labor cost rising and so on caused the small home appliance enterprises in China that the capital productivity is lower and lower and the profitability is becoming weaker and weaker. Based on this, this paper has significant meaning for the small household appliance enterprise transforming and upgrading strategy as well as the method research.This paper is based on the current situation of small household appliance companies, with the study of global value chain, analyze the main factors that affect the industries upgrade to search for the route to improve the development of Chinese small household appliance companies. In structures this paper was divided into three parts, the first part is analyzing the develop situation of the china small household appliance market; the second part will analyzing the main affect factors based on global value chain theory; the third part will raised the route and method to improve the current situation.This paper will mentioned that our small household appliance companies should search from technology, brand, business models and so on to find the best method to each the higher level value in the global value chain, which has guiding significances.
