Just as what Peter. Drucker, a famous American management, has pointed out that the core industry in the 21st century will be the knowledge industries; the community in the 21st century will be a knowledge economy dominated knowledge community. As human society stepped into the 21st century, the high-tech represented by network communications technology, biotechnological, new material technology and new energy technology has promoted the human society to develop into a knowledge economic era from the post-industrial era, the high-tech industries have become the pillar industries in the knowledge economic era. Yet in such high-tech enterprises, the knowledge workers who posses professional knowledge and skills are the main body of value-creation in the enterprises, they are the representatives of the productivity, the working efficiency of the knowledge workers determines the competitiveness. Under such a historical background, how to use the motivation-hygiene theory to conduct effective stimulations to the knowledge workers in the Chinese high-tech enterprises has become one difficult problem for the enterprise managers.Drucker agrees that people are the core resources for an enterprise; therefore, stimulating the enthusiasm, initiative and creativity has become an eternal topic for managers. In this regard, the dual-factor theory of Fredrick Herzberg, a famous American psychologist, provides us important theoretical basis, and it has theoretical significance to our management practices. But considering that the dual-factor theory was born in USA some 50 years ago, it was put forward on the basis of the American culture background, values and the social economic development level at that time. Today, 50 years has passed, whether the dual-factor theory of Herzberg can be directly applied to the daily managements of Chinese high-tech enterprises without and nationalization research? Obviously it is a question deserves exploration and discussion. This article first introduces the study backgrounds, destinations, concepts and article structure in the preface, then through reviewing the domestic and overseas stimulation factors to the knowledge workers, it expounds in details about the definition and characteristics of knowledge worker, as well as the different understandings of domestic and foreign knowledge workers towards the stimulation factors. Finally, the article takes the knowledge workers in Nuctech company as the research objective, by means of worker satisfaction survey inquiry, it testes and analyzes the relationship between the "hygiene factors" and "motivation factors" to the knowledge workers in the enterprises with the achievements of the workers. Through discussing the analysis results, combining with the research results of domestic and overseas experts and scholars towards the stimulation factors to Chinese knowledge workers, this article carries out nationalization research to the application of dual-factor theory in the national high-tech enterprises, and further gives strategies and suggestions on how to provide effective stimulations to the knowledge workers in Chinese high-tech enterprises.
