Preliminary Study On The Spatial Structure Of Qingdao Hotel Industry

From the mid-1990s, the Chinese hotel industry as a whole benefits for a while losing money, but the scale of investment is growing, the whole benefits of the Chinese hotel industry was once plunged into the loss situation while the scale of investment was expanding rapidly. Be up against with this situation, the economic purport that the re-structuring would embodied is far more significant than raising the individual labor productivity, which caused the great academic concern to the structure study of the hotel industry. The current study of the hotel industry structure mainly concentrated in the scale, grade and etc., however, hardly from the spatial point of view. For one thing, The spatial structure of hotel industry could reflect the change in trends of supply and demand, and on the other side, it also could reflect the disparity of travel reception from different location, incarnate the development status of the regional tourism, which is the significant factor to measure the develop level of them. Consequently, the spatial study of hotel industry could consummate the theoretical system of hotel industry, nay, is conductive to the government, hotel investors to make rational decisions to force the virtuous evolution for the regional hotel industry. And this is of vital practical meaning for those hotel of individual cities that in the standard level of the whole hotel industry.This article starts from the background of the development of restaurant industry, determines the research issue thereof on the basis of filing the research work on the theory of the configuration of restaurant industry and finally builds up the research framework. First of all, this article involves the research meaning of the space configuration of restaurant industry, sets up the theoretic basis thereafter, and analyzes the influential factors on the space configuration and puts up the assessment framework thereof. Then, based upon the theory, using the GIS to collation and analyze the relevant data and information which obtained by the empirical investigation, and in accordance with the timing of Qingdao on the spatial structure of the hotel industry, describes the historical evolution process of space structure of Qingdao hotel industry, features characteristic of the status quo, indicates the current existing problems of Qingdao structure of space. Then, based on the analysis of evolving trend of the development of both traveling industry and the space configuration of restaurant industry, this article comes up with and optimized strategy standing at the position of both government and investors, which helps to provide a reference for government and restaurant investors to ensure a healthy and sustainable growth of the restaurant industry of Qingdao.
