Study On The Cooperation Model Between Processing Enterprises And Peasants Producer Of Dingxi Potatoes Under Supply Chain

Cooperation in supply chain is that companies concentrate their limited resources to core business while contract out other business to implement complementary strengths, in which case a whole strategic cooperation is realized between partners through mutually sharing information, speedy reaction to market demands. Possibility and technical support to realize this cooperative model are offered by the fast development of modern communication and network considering internet as the representative. Cooperation in supply chain is an approach for modern corporations to survive and develop.Since the 1980s, China has made remarkable achievements in agriculture. With the continuous development of the agricultural industrialization, China's processing of agricultural products also has developed further. Agricultural products processing enterprises are the largest value-added sectors in the entire supply chain of agricultural products. Potato is a mainstay industry in Dingxi with natural advantages to grow potato here: Dingxi is one of the most suited places to grow fine, high quality fecula since potato from Dingxi can contain 18.97 %—24. 25 %of fecula, 2-3% higher than others. A bottleneck is coming into the development of Dingxi potato industry: raw materials are in serious deficiency. Agricultural industrialization is not working well in cooperation between potato processing enterprises and peasants with many problems appearing. A new cooperative model is in instant need to solve these problems.This paper studies necessity to apply the cooperative model under supply chain based on analysis of supply chain, management of supply chain and theory of cooperation under supply chain as well as SWOT of potato processing industry, problems in current cooperation between potato processing enterprises and peasants through demonstration analysis and analytic hierarchy process. Results are as following: (1) raw materials are plentiful in Dingxi potato processing industry; Fecula of Dingxi potato is famous as a brand; potato processing industry is supported by Dingxi government in policy and investment; potato fecula is in great demand nationally and internationally. All the above means opportunities for potato processing industry. (2) Inefficient Cooperation between potato processing enterprises and peasants is from distrust of partners, inadequate concept of risk mutual bearing or profit sharing, insufficient information communication. The author raises a new cooperative model—cooperation under supply chain—according to the above study on the problems in cooperation between potato processing enterprises and peasants. The new cooperative model takes potato association as hinge and processing enterprises and peasants at both sides. It is "peasants + potato association + potato processing enterprises". This thesis also studies the important status of potato association and operation of this new cooperative model under supply chain and also brings forth optimization of this cooperative model based on internet and logistics.
