Application Study On Lean Production In Lu'an Gear Company

Auto parts industry, as the intermediate link of the auto industry chain, is facing increasingly fierce competition. Lu'an Gear Company is confronted with double pressure of the cost and market. The profit will decline unless we reduce production cost, increase production efficiency and improve product quality. Lu'an Gear Company is a state-owned enterprise. Leaders and staffs' thinking is rigid, and their work is ineffective. Facing fierce market competition, we have to adopt lean production to maintain the long-term and stable development of our enterprise. The management of enterprise will be improved through applying this production model. Then the enterprise will have long-term competitive edge in quality, cost and delivery.Lean production has two pillar concepts: Just-in-time (JIT) or "flow", and "autonomation". According to the concepts, enterprises can develop a set of reasonable production system to minimize waste and reduce cost of production. Lean production can help enterprises raise productivity, reduce cost and improve product quality, and enterprises provide consumers with a variety of products. At the same time, enterprises can get more profit and competitive edge.In this paper, according to the writer's practice of Lean Production and the basic principles of Lean Production, the writer introduces briefly the background, purpose and main methods of promoting Lean Production in Lu'an Gear, and facility who used and technology who adopted in the proceed of practice, and expand crew reorganization and product and management improvement under lean production model. At last, the writer gives some suggestions about the important points of promoting lean production. The writer hopes these suggestions are helpful to Lu'an Gear Company and other enterprises.
