Under the influence of economic globalization and changes in upstream and downstream industries' developments, traditional concepts and management mode are facing new challenges. The state-owned large steel & iron enterprises face competition from foreign and private enterprises. On the one hand, they have a shortage of qualified personnel; on the other hand, they have serious loss of accumulated technologies over the years and core management staffs. These aspects restrict the development of Chinese Steel & Iron industry.WISCO has high brand awareness at home and abroad. Most of its technology and equipment conform to international first-level standard. It has strong technical innovation capabilities, management innovation capabilities, human resources development capabilities and management capabilities. However, during enterprise's developments, there are also some problems such as low staff morale, low motivation and low creativity. This thesis makes a survey on WISCO employees' satisfaction in order to let company's management level listen to staffs' voice and understand staffs' needs. Through conducting satisfaction test for two consecutive years on company's internal employees and making analysis on the results of survey it can find out the main factors which are impacting employees' satisfaction. These aspects are conducive for enterprise developing scientific human resources policies and carrying out inspections in follow-up tests. These can enhance staffs' working enthusiasm and efficiency, stabilize workforce, improve enterprise's core competitiveness and lay a solid foundation for enterprise's sustainable developments.This dissertation follows the principle of integrating theory and practice, combining macro-analysis and micro-analysis, adopts both methodology of qualitative analysis and quantitative study. In the first chapter, it elaborates the subject source and research significance, it makes review on domestic and international employee satisfaction and human resources management. In the second chapter, it makes a comprehensive exposition of employee satisfaction theory and models. In the third chapter, through conducting continuous and deep analysis on WISCO employees' satisfaction situation, it masters the basic situation and existing problems in WISCO employees' satisfaction. In the fourth chapter, on the basis of analysis of WISCO employees' satisfaction status quo, it finds out the important factors which impact the degree of satisfaction. In the fifth chapter, it raises measures of enhancing WISCO employees' satisfaction.Through analyzing results of employees' satisfaction survey we find main factors which can influence employees' satisfaction: growth and development of staffs, benefits and salaries of employees, working tasks and environment of staffs. In view of these factors, this paper focuses on how to change rigid organizational and personnel management mode in the state-owned enterprises through continuous meeting reasonable needs of individuals or groups, and pay more attention to strong needs for self-realization, provide employees with good career development space, design competitive salary, improve stable employment mechanism, create a relaxing and harmonious environment and make efforts to stabilize the workforce.
