An Empirical Study On The Impact Of Supply Chain Management Practices On Organizational Performance

As Economic Globalization and the era of knowledge economy is coming, supply chain management (SCM) is entering the Stage of a substantive application and development .In the process of using the thinking about SCM, Enterprises must establish the corresponding management practices, and attach importance to the various actions of SCM. The levels of SCM practices will be directly affect the interests of enterprises. On the one hand, SCM practices and efficient operating depend on the information technology systems in enterprises .On the other hand, the IT application promotes SCM. Further SCM strategy clear points out the development direction and provides the necessary guarantee for enterprises. As a result it becomes another driver for SCM practice. In Existing academic literatures, there is lake of the relationship between IT, SCM strategy , SCM practice and organization's performance .This paper will take the studying about them.Based on the data of pilot and large-sample study, this paper focused on studying the structure of SCM practice. Finally, the paper indicated that structure is consist of five variables (Strategic supplier partnership, customer relationship, information sharing ,lean system, postponement).While validating the measurement model, this paper confirms the structural validity of every variable by using confirmatory factor analysis. Then we use the structural equation full model and nester-model to analyze the five hypotheses. As a result, we concluded that information technology not only has a positive impact directly on supply chain management practice but also has indirect impact on it by supply chain management strategy. Furthermore supply chain management strategy directly has a positive impact on supply chain management practice and has a partial mediate effect between information technology and supply chain management implementation. Supply chain management practices directly have a significant positive impact on organizational performance.The conclusion of this study will be helpful for domestic companies in the implementation process of supply chain management. It also suggests that domestic companies should focus on partner relationship, information sharing, and postponement during the process of SCM implementation. Certainly establishing IT system and planning Supply Chain Management Strategy is also important as the items mentioned above. Meanwhile the variables in supply chain management practice construction are helpful for future related research.
