As a kind of temporary organization, temporary teams are the consequence for organizations to answer the challenge of the fast changing environment. Temporary teams can complete tasks and accomplish goals swiftly and effectively. However, because of its uniqueness of organizational structure, temporary teams also give us some management challenges, especially for trust building. With the theory of swift trust, all of these challenges get easy to be resolved.Base on the review of available research, this paper conducted an intensive theory discussion and empirical study. First, it put forwards three trust forms building from three ways, also gave us a conceptual model of antecedent-consequence for swift trust and some hypothesis. The model expanded the theory about swift trust antecedents from trustor, trustee, communication and culture environment levels, based on team level. It also studies the relationship of swift trust and team performance, with three intervening variables.According to the above research, this paper designed a questionnaire, and conducted a survey with small sample. It mainly analyzed the data reliability and validity, and purified the survey items. According to the small-sample testing, it corrected both the incipient model and questionnaire. Finally, by using SPSS statistical analysis tool, it conducted a large sample test and got some research conclusions. Following conclusions were reached: (1) Besides the available team level antecedents, some traditional individual trust factor and communication factors as well as Chinese cultural factors also have a great effect to the building of swift trust, of which cultural collective-orientation, disposition to trust, communicating promptness and goodwill cognition are the most important antecedents. (2) Swift trust has a positive effect to team performance, through the mediation of team cohesiveness and useful conflict actions.
